LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, 42-year-old Jonathan Wayne Cook died in a motorcycle crash near North 5th Street and Rome Boulevard.
 
The incident happened just after 2:50 p.m. near North 5th Street and Rome Boulevard.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found a vehicle and a motorcycle at the scene.
 
According to the preliminary investigation, a northbound motorcycle on 5th Street traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, the black Hyundai Elantra traveled eastbound on Rome Boulevard.
 
Reports said that the car drove across the intersection. However, the motorcyclist crashed into the car and the impact ejected the rider.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist, 42-year-old Jonathan Wayne Cook, succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver required hospitalization.
 
Moreover, the crash prompted the closure of all lanes of travel for the investigation.
