9-Year-Old Waterford Boy Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck near Yosemite Boulevard

WATERFORD, CA (July 24, 2018) – A boy was killed Tuesday evening after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle near Yosemite Boulevard.

As per reports, 9-year-old Johnny Davis was heading southbound on Tim Bell Road with his father. The child was riding down the steep road when his bicycle entered an intersection and collided with a pickup truck.

Johnny was rushed to the Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, the boy succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by the medical staff. A GoFundMe page was created to support the child’s family with medical and funeral expenses. Click on the link to donate and to support the campaign.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. Authorities noted that the intersection had enough stop signs near Tim Bell, but there was a lack of traffic control near Yosemite.
