BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 8, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, 22-year-old Johnny Darrell Moten died in a single-vehicle crash on Lotus Lane in South Bakersfield.
 
According to reports, he didn’t wear a seat belt when he lost control of his car. Moreover, the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Lotus Lane for the investigation.
 
The officials declared Mr. Moten deceased at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, three other passengers reportedly wore seat belts during the crash. Thus, they only suffered minor injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, it’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. However, the police confirmed that the driver traveled at a high rate of speed.
 
Furthermore, the authorities continue to investigate the deadly crash.
