Dense Fog Causes Deadly Accident on Highway 99 That Left John Wegner Dead

Gridley, CA – On Saturday morning, John Wegner and four others died in a ten vehicle accident on Highway 99 caused by dense fog in the area.

Moreover, several semi trucks and cars took part in the deadly accident. Apparently, fog was a factor in the Highway 99 crash, south of Hinamin Drive, between Gridley and Biggs.

Furthermore, the 10 vehicle crash also sent mutliple victims to the hospital, with minor to major wounds.

At this time, the accident, involving ten vehicles, remains under investigation.

However, CHP did confirm that low visibility from dense fog on the freeway factored into the incident.

Furthermore, the National Weather Service confirmed that fog covered much of the valley overnight.

Additionally, Megan McMann, a Butte County Sheriff Spokesperson, later revealed those that perished in this tragic crash. Among them is 19-year-old John Wegner, who lived in the Redding area.

With heavy hearts, Sweet Lawyers extends our condolences to the family and community of John Wegner.
