Male Pedestrian Killed in Crash West of Keelson Lane
Huntington Beach, CA (January 1, 2023) – On Friday, John Diaz, 49, of Huntington Beach, lost his life in a Slater Avenue accident.
The authorities received the crash report at about 6:50 p.m. Friday on Slater Avenue, west of Keelson Lane.
According to the authorities, John Diaz was walking outside a crosswalk when an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado struck him.
Responding officers declared Diaz dead at the scene.
Moreover, the 22-year-old man driving the truck stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation. Officers say impairment did not appear to be a factor for the involved driver.
