Jimmy Martin Killed in Tragic Pedestrian Crash Near Kansas Avenue [Modesto, CA]

Modesto, CA (November 19, 2024) On Sunday morning, 27-year-old Jimmy Martin of Stockton, was killed in the fatal Highway 99 hit-and-run.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 3 a.m. north of Kansas Avenue near downtown Modesto.

Reports say that a man was found lying on the east shoulder of the highway. Officers arrived, they identified the victim as Martin. Unfortunately, Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are actively searching for leads in the fatal hit-and-run. Authorities suspect the vehicle involved is a black sedan, likely with front-end damage.
