2 Hurt in Chino Hills Auto Accident on Boys Republic Drive and Shoppes Drive
CHINO HILLS, CA (February 9, 2025) – Tuesday morning, Jimmy Eugene Lewis was arrested after an alarming DUI crash on Boys Republic Drive.
Reports said that the incident happened at about 8:46 a.m. on Boys Republic Drive, south of Shoppes Drive.
The 54-year-old Chino Hills man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following the two-car collision that caused one vehicle to overturn, temporarily shutting down the street in both directions.
Lewis was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and released at 3:01 a.m. the next morning, according to San Bernardino County jail records.
The crash involved a pickup and a Toyota, with both drivers reporting pain, but neither required hospitalization, Chino Hills Police Sgt. Stephen Kessler said. No passengers were in either vehicle. The road remained closed for about 30 minutes.
