Jesus Plascencia-Sanchez Dead, Driver Injured after Saratoga Rollover Accident
SARATOGA, CA (September 6, 2019) – Officers identified Jesus Emmanuel Plascencia-Sanchez as the man who died in a rollover crash on Friday, August 30.
According to the CHP, the accident happened at around 8:25 p.m. on Highway 9 a mile north of Redwood Gulch Road. A mid-1990s Nissan Skyline traveled southbound on Highway 9. After that, it veered off the highway and went down an embankment.
A Santa Clara County Fire Department spokesman stated that the car flipped over at least once before it stopped with its roof against a tree.
20-year-old Jesus Emmanuel Plascencia-Sanchez, of San Jose, was a passenger in the vehicle. However, he died at the scene.
The driver was extricated and airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, CHP said. However, an update on his condition was not yet available.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
