16-Year-Old Jesus Guillen Killed in Tragic Crash on 16th Street [Upland, CA]

Upland, CA (June 29, 2024) On Friday, 16-year-old Jesus Guillen and 3 other people were killed, while a 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after a traffic collision on 16th Street.

According to the Ontario Police Department, the suspected DUI crash happened around 1:50 a.m. at 16th Street and Mountain Avenue.

Reports say that a suspected DUI driver, driving a black 2018 Hyundai, attempted to pass another vehicle, while trying to avoid police pursuit, but instead collided with a Mustang.

The Mustang had 2 occupants at the time of the crash, a 35-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman. Medics transported both patients to the hospital as a precaution.

Officials say that the Hyundai broke into 3 pieces and caught fire. Authorities say that all 5 occupants of the Hyundai were males, all men were ejected off the Hyunda1.

Authorities, Guillen, and 3 other males on the Hyundai were pronounced dead at the scene, while the 13-year-old boy was expected to survive.

Moreover, officials say that the Hyundai was reported stolen and a loaded gun was found on one of the dead occupants.

Police are investigating the fatal crash and have not released further information at this time.
