VICTORVILLE, CA (March 9, 2021) – On Monday morning, Jesus Aguilar Santa Cruz, 37, died in a hit-and-run crash on Seventh Street near Lorene Drive in Victorville, California.
 
According to authorities, at around 6:00 a.m., officers responded to a crash. Moreover, the incident happened along the 14400 block of Seventh Street in front of the Auto Zone, near Lorene Drive.
 
Furthermore, responders found a torn-up bike and an injured man at the scene. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to no avail. Authorities pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
 
Also, officers said that the vehicle involved in the fatal accident fled the scene after the incident.
 
Moreover, the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team closed Seventh Street to give way to the investigation.
 
The county coroner later revealed the victim as Victorville resident Jesus Aguilar Santa Cruz.
 
Authorities later identified and charged 53-year-old Osmin Reyes Machado of Victorville with felonly hit and run.
