Jessie Marie Scalf Killed in Elk Grove Accident on Interstate 5 near Laguna Boulevard
ELK GROVE, CA (April 26, 2021) – Saturday night, Jessie Scalf, 33, died in a rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Laguna Boulevard.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound Interstate 5, near Laguna Boulevard.
Reports revealed that a Sacramento driver of a white SUV traveled recklessly. Then, the vehicle rolled over to its roof on the east side of the freeway in a field.
Furthermore, authorities determined that the 33-year-old female driver of the SUV lost control. Then, it veered across the center median towards the northbound lanes where it crashed and rolled over.
Moreover, paramedics pronounced the woman, Ms. Scalf, dead at the scene. Responders transported an infant from the vehicle to a hospital with no injuries sustained. CHP confirmed that the infant was released to its father.
Also, officers said that it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
