Driver Jeremy Thurner Transported in Pine Street Bridge Collision [Poplar Bluff, MO]

Poplar Bluff, MO (October 31, 2024) –  A 35-year-old driver, Jeremy Thurner, was injured in a Pine Street Bridge collision Tuesday afternoon.

It was about 1:10 p.m. when the traffic collision happened in Poplar Bluff.

Troopers said 64-year-old Ricky Cochran was driving an eastbound pickup truck when a hay bale fell from his truck. He stopped his vehicle in the roadway, then got out to recover the bale of hay.

At the same time, an eastbound passenger car driven by Jeremy Thurner struck the concrete guard rail of the bridge and Cochran’s truck.

Cochran’s was then pinned between the two vehicles. The rescuers arrived and freed him from between the two vehicles. They transported him to an area hospital for treatment.

Jeremy Thurner was also transported to the hospital.
