Jeremy Sanders and Renta Pollard Dead in Lancaster Crash on Highway 138 near 110th Street

LANCASTER, CA (December 28, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, Jeremy Sanders, 28, and Renta Pollard, 46, died in an accident on Highway 138 near 110th Street in Lancaster.

The fatal crash occurred just after 3:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol revealed. Moreover, it took place between 110th Street West and 150 Street West.

The incident shut down all traffic in both directions. Thus, the CHP initiated a SigAlert.

Later reports claim a pickup truck, a 2000 GMC Sierra, drove eastbound carrying both Mr. Sandars and Ms. Renta, as well as 19-year-old Lancaster man.

The driver, a 31-year-old woman from Mojave, attempted to pass the vehicle in front of them by moving into the westbound lane.
Upon seeing another car in their path GMC Sierra veered to the left, the truck overturning in the process.

Pacioma residents Jeremy Sanders and Renta Pollard were pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the rest to area hospitals.

Due to the limited information available, the crash on State Route 138 remains under active investigation.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jeremy Sanders and Renta Pollard.
