Injuries Reported in Corning Traffic Crash on Interstate 5 near Liberal Avenue
CORNING, CA (December 20, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, Jeremy Douglas and three other people sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 5.
The incident happened at around 2:50 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just south of Liberal Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jason Thinnes, a northbound 2005 GMC Yukon lost control for still unknown reasons and crashed. Then, the force of the crash ejected the vehicle driver, 40-year-old Jeremy Douglas, and his 30-year-old front-seat passenger onto the roadway.
Moreover, responders transported Douglas and his front-side passenger to a hospital with major injuries. Also, paramedics transported a 12-year-old female passenger with major injuries. Moreover, they took a 14-year-old male passenger who sustained minor injuries to a hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
