Officers Arrest Isaac Aragonez in Las Vegas Fatal DUI Collision
Las Vegas, NV (September 20, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, 67-year-old Jeffrey Melchiori was fatally struck by a vehicle on West Twain Avenue.
The authorities received the accident report just before 1:10 a.m. east of South Jones Boulevard.
Unfortunately, Jeffrey Melchiori was declared deceased at the scene.
Officers believe a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was westbound when it struck the pedestrian who was outside of a crosswalk.
Moreover, the authorities arrested and booked the involved driver, 33-year-old Isaac Aragonez of Redlands, California on charges of impaired driving and failure to use care around a pedestrian.
Aragonez posted a bond Wednesday and was released from jail.
According to court records, Aragonez is facing his second DUI offense with a misdemeanor count of failure to use due care around a pedestrian. His next court appearance is set for Jan. 23.
