ELLIS COUNTY, TX (June 25, 2023) – Late Friday night, a startling high-speed chase crash on Interstate 35 E led to the arrest of Jaylin Carroll.

Initially, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office (DSO) tried to stop a dark car for breaking traffic rules. However, the driver refused to stop, leading law enforcement on a reckless chase along Interstate 35 E at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

However, the suspect would sometimes turn off their car’s lights, putting other drivers at risk.

During the chase, the suspect’s car crashed into another vehicle at the I-35 service road and Wheatland Road before continuing their dangerous course.

Then, the suspect’s car collided with a large truck, causing it to overturn and leave the road. Air support informed the DSO that the driver of the car fled into the nearby woods.

The authorities quickly apprehended the driver.

Both the suspect and the truck driver were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

The driver of the car, identified as 26-year-old Carroll, now faces charges of causing two accidents, possessing more than two ounces of marijuana and trying to escape arrest in a vehicle.
