Vallejo Traffic Crash Kills 18-Year-Old Oroville Man

Vallejo, CA (January 5, 2022) – On Thursday morning, Javy Martin, 27, of Oroville, sustained injuries in a fatal collision on Interstate 80.

The traffic collision took place at 10 a.m. on the westbound freeway, east of Magazine Street.

Officer Jason Tyhurst, the public information officer for CHP-Solano, said the Dodge Ram pickup driven by Javy Martin left the freeway and struck an unoccupied and disabled box truck on the right shoulder killing Martin’s 18-year-old.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the Vallejo traffic crash and stated that alcohol is not considered a factor in the accident.
