Jason Dixon of Enumclaw Injured in Fatal Collision on State Route 153 [Pateros, WA]

Pateros, WA (August 15, 2022) On Sunday, 49-year-old Jason Dixon of Enumclaw was hurt in a fatal collision on State Route 153.

Reports say that 39-year-old Tao Stettler of Pateros died in the same crash on SR 153 near Pateros.

WSP says that at about 5:30 p.m. Stettler was driving a 2016 Ford Escape southbound on SR 153. Meanwhile, Dixon was driving a northbound 1996 Ford F250.

Consequently, the Escape crossed the center line and struck the F250 head-on.

Paramedics took Stettler to Three Rivers Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, rescuers transported Dixon to a hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities closed SR 153 for three hours due to the collision.

Additionally, troopers say that Stettler was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while Dixon was wearing a seatbelt.
