Jarod Major Hurt in Disastrous Head-On Crash on US 97A [Entiat, WA]

Entiat, WA (November 03, 2023) On Wednesday, 38-year-old Jarod Major of Chelan and 18-year-old Adilene Mendoza of Entiat were both hurt and hospitalized after a head-on crash on US 97A.

According to the WSP, the 2-vehicle collision may have involved drugs or alcohol. officials say that the crash happened at about 5:40 a.m. on Highway 97A.

Reports say that Mendoza was driving a southbound 2012 Toyota Corolla that veered off the roadway crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2022 Cadillac Escalade driven by Jared Major.

Authorities say that Mendoza’s vehicle ended up on top of the northbound guardrail, meanwhile, Major’s SUV ended up blocking the southbound lane.

Officials say that both drivers suffered injuries due to the crash. Medics rushed Mendoza to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus in Wenatchee with injuries, moreover, Major was transported to Lake Chelan Hospital in Chelan.

WSP is investigating the suspected DUI collision and has not released further information at this time.
