Jared Anderson Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run Scooter Crash at Sunset Boulevard [Hollywood, CA]

Jared Anderson ID’d as Hit-and-Run Driver Who Fatally Struck Scooter Rider at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street

 
HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 15, 2019) – A man died in a hit-and-run scooter crash at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street early Saturday.
 
The incident took place around 3:50 a.m. and drew police to the scene.
 
According to officers, a sergeant witnessed a Ford F-150 strike a man on a Lime scooter. The driver, later identified as Jared Walter Anderson, reportedly reversed and rolled over the victim before speeding off.
 
Soon after, police arrested Anderson on hit-and-run charges. As far as the victim, he died shortly after.
 
It is unclear at this point as to what drove to the collision. However, authorities are seeking potential surveillance footage to piece together the details. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
