8-Year-Old Jaqueline Tlaseca and Others Injured in Vehicle Crash on Interstate 90 [Ellensburg, WA]

Ellensburg, WA (May 30, 2023) – On Sunday, 8-year-old Jaqueline Tlaseca of Des Moines and five other people sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on Interstate 90.

The traffic accident took place before 4 p.m. when the Toyota Tundra driven by 41-year-old Anel Tlaseca-Campos of Des Moines, Washington, blew its tire and the vehicle rolled.

Tlaseca and Tlaseca-Campos, along with 12-year-old Emily Avalos of Des Moines, 35-year-old Jose Casteneda-Gallardo of Kent, 34-year-old Martin Madaria-Garomero of Auburn, and 12-year-old Brittany Rodas of Des Moines, were injured in the accident.

The responding medical team transported all of them to an area hospital. Officers said they were all buckled up when the incident happened.

Police said the cause of the collision was defective equipment.
