Janica Clyde Hurt in DUI Collision on Highway 99 [Chico, CA]

Chico, CA (March 31, 2022) On Wednesday, 67-year-old Janica Clyde and 63-year-old Randall Pockrus, were injured in a DUI Collision on Highway 99.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the traffic accident happened around 2:30 p.m at Highway 99 and Esplanade.

Reports say that 39-year-old Ronald Rodarte was driving a Hyundai Elantra stopped on northbound Esplanade at Highway 99.

Meanwhile, Pockrus on a Ford Taurus south on Highway 99 broadsided Rodarte’s vehicle.

Moreover, the Hyundai ended up in a southeastern direction where it hit a chain-link fence.

Officials say that Rodarte did not yield to the right-of-way to Pockrus who did not attempt to miss the collision.

The Ford spun around and ended in the intersections.

Both Pockrus and his passenger Clyde sustained injuries. While Rodarte sustained major injuries and was arrested by police.

The CHP says that Rodarte was believed to be driving impaired.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
