Janda Khamnoy Dead and 1 Injured in Aguanga Auto Accident on Highway 371

 
AGUANGA, CA (October 13, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, Janda Khamnoy died in a head-on crash on Highway 371 near Aguanga.
 
At around 1:00 p.m., Janda Khamnoy drove a 2000 Honda Accord east on Highway 371 at a speed of 60 mph. Then, the sedan drove over the double yellow lines, west of Wilson Valley Road.
 
Officer Mike Lassig revealed that a 45-year-old Indio man drove his 2010 GMC Sierra pickup west on the highway. Unfortunately, the sedan drove directly into the Sierra’s path.
 
“The Honda’s left front collided into the pickup’s left front in a head-on collision,” Officer Lassig said.
 
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and declared Janda Khamnoy dead.
 
Meanwhile, the other motorist sustained major injuries. Responders transported the patient to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
 
Furthermore, the authorities shut down Highway 371 for several hours. Due to limited information available, the fatal crash remains under active investigation.
