1 Killed and 1 Injured in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Muller Road near S Edison Road

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 5, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, a deadly crash on Muller Road near S Edison Road involved Jamie Gallegos.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 1:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Muller Road near S. Edison Road.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound Ford Escape made a complete stop at a stop sign before entering the intersection. Moments later, a southbound heavy-duty tow truck failed to stop. Then, it struck the right passenger side of the Ford.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced a male unrestrained rear passenger of the Ford dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the female driver of the Ford to a hospital with major injuries. The tow-truck driver, 26-year-old Jamie Gallegos, sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
Furthermore, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
