1 Dead in Rochester Car Accident on Highway 12
ROCHESTER, WA (March 13, 2020) – Monday night, a 67-year-old male Rochester resident died in a car accident on Highway 12.
The Washinton State Patrol revealed that the two-car collision happened near the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, on March 9 around 9:15 p.m.
Reports revealed that James Saccotelli, driving a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer was trying to turn left from southbound Moon Road to eastbound U.S. Highway 12. However, 52-year-old Mikhail I. Kukhar from Oakville struck the driver’s side of the Mitsubushi.
Saccotelli was later pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities also closed the road for three hours and 40 minutes.
The collision remains under investigation. However, they also clarified that the drivers wore their seat belts at the time of the crash.
