Passenger Hospitalized in Fatal Crash on US-95

Las Vegas, NV (March 4, 2023) – On Wednesday, 74-year-old James Lusk of Tonopah died in a high-speed crash on US-95 that also injured his passenger.

Nevada State Police says that the fatal crash on Highway 95 happened approximately 45 miles northwest of Tonopah.

Reports say that Lusk was driving a northbound black Toyota pick-up truck at high speed when the vehicle crossed over the other lane. Afterward, the Toyota veered off the road and overturned.

James Lusk died at the scene while medics transported his passenger to a hospital for medical treatment.

Investigating officers said Lusk was traveling at a rate of speed that was too fast for the adverse travel conditions.
