PETALUMA, CA (September 2, 2019) — A driver identified as James Bloom suffered injuries following a three-car crash on Friday, August 30.

The crash occurred when a white Chevrolet truck traveled westbound on Lakeville Highway, just west of Browns Lane. After that, the truck crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on with a Ford F-750 dump truck moving the opposite way.

The Chevrolet truck then spun out of control. After that, a Ford F-450 flatbed truck traveling eastbound struck the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Chevrolet truck, James Bloom, a Rio Linda resident, reportedly sustained major injuries. Paramedics airlifted him to a local trauma hospital.

The other two drivers were not harmed.

Drugs or alcohol are reportedly not a factor in the incident.

Officials temporarily shut down Lakeville Highway and redirected traffic.
