James Bixman Dies after Crashing His Motorcycle into Semi Truck on Highway 168

 
PRATHER, CA (August 2, 2019) – A man was killed when his motorcycle crashed with a semi truck Friday afternoon in Prather.
 
The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. on Highway 168, also known as Morgan Canyon Road, at Gooseberry Lane.
 
CHP officers said the man was riding on his motorcycle down the hill while the semi truck was going up, when for unknown reasons, he crossed over and collided head-on with the semi.
 
The rider died upon impact. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified him as James Bixman, 52, of Clovis.
 
The semi truck driver was not injured.
 
Officers closed a portion of the highway while they cleaned up the crash site.
 
Further investigation of this fatal crash is underway.
