Officers Arrest Johiadia Sealey in Tacoma Fatal Crash
Tacoma, WA (February 2, 2023) – On Wednesday afternoon, passenger Jalisa Paden, 20, died, while the authorities arrested the driver, Johiadia Sealey, 26, in a DUI crash on Interstate 705.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), Sealey drove onto the on-ramp of the northbound freeway when the car left the roadway and hit the barrier.
The vehicle stooped abruptly and blocked the left lane of the on-ramp.
Unfortunately, Jalisa Paden died in the collision. Officers said she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Moreover, a 20-year-old man was also in the vehicle and he did not sustained injuries. He and Johiadia Sealey were not wearing seatbelts.
Officers charged Johiadia Sealey with DUI and vehicular homicide related to the Tacoma fatal crash.
