Anselmo Jimenez Arrested after Ceres Injury Crash on Service Road near Moffett Road
CERES, CA (December 9, 2021) – Tuesday, Jaime Moreno, Elio Mendez-Martinez, and six others suffered injuries in a crash on Service Road.
According to reports, the three-vehicle crash pinned four of the six injured patients. Thus, emergency crews had to use power tools to free them.
According to reports, at around 6:15 p.m., 54-year-old Anselmo Jimenez of Ceres drove a 1998 Ford SUV. He headed east on Service Road near where it crosses over Highway 99.
Afterward, the SUV partially approached the westbound lane in front of a large Freightliner truck. Then, a 2021 Dodge pickup towing a trailer followed.
Eventually, the Ford sideswiped the large truck and then went to the freeway overpass. Then, it crashed head-on with the Dodge pickup.
Afterward, the SUV rolled over, landed on its roof, and stopped on the overpass guardrail.

Reports confirmed that the crash pinned three people in the Dodge pickup. Jimenez sustained major injuries and was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Responders transported 65-year-old Freightliner truck driver Jaime Moreno and 25-year-old Dodge pickup driver Elio Mendez-Martinez. They took both drivers to Doctors Medical Center and Memorial, respectively.
Meanwhile, ambulances transported the three Dodge pickup occupants with minor to major injuries.
Also, authorities confirmed that Jimenez showed signs of intoxication.
Thus, officers arrested him on a charge of felony DUI. Just before the crashes, Jimenez was involved in a hit-and-run collision. Furthermore, Jimenez faces a charge of misdemeanor hit and run.
