Jacqueline Martin Arrested in North Las Vegas Boulevard Killing Man in 40s
Las Vegas, NV (April 13, 2021) – On Monday, police arrested 43-year-old Jacqueline Martin in a hit-and-run crash on North Las Vegas Boulevard that killed a male pedestrian in his 40s.
Officers responded to the scene at around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Belmont Street after receiving a call about an injured person.
When they arrived, they found the pedestrian already dead.
Authorities said a vehicle traveling northbound on North Las Vegas Boulevard struck the man who was waiting at a bus stop.
Martin, the vehicle driver failed to stop and fled the scene right away.
Officers said the incident is considered a homicide. Detectives determined the initial hit to be intentional over the course of the investigation.
They booked Martin at the North Las Vegas Community Corrections Center.
Similarly, she faces one count of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon.
Meanwhile, the Coroner’s Office will release the deceased’s identity and the cause and manner of death, after proper notification to the next of kin.
