Kennewick Motorcycle Crash Kills 41-Year-Old Man

Kennewick, WA (March 13, 2023) – On Saturday, Jacob Schouten, 41, of Pasco, sustained fatal injuries in a State Route 397 collision.

The fatal collision took place at about 4:30 p.m. when Schouten in his motorcycle was struck by a Kennewick man traveling east on South Gum Street. The man did not yield, despite Schouten having the right of way.

Schouten was not wearing a helmet and sadly died at the scene.

Investigating officers said drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash. Charges against the driver that struck Schouten are pending at this time.

In the meantime, the Washington State Patrol is investigating the Kennewick motorcycle crash.
