Jacob Morales of Donna Killed in FM 1423 Accident [Edinburg, TX]

Edinburg, TX (October 22, 2023) – 16-year-old Jacob Morales of Donna was killed following an FM 1423 accident.

The fatal crash happened at about 8 p.m. south of Anderson Road.

Officers said a white Chevrolet Silverado was northbound on FM 1423 approaching Anderson Road when they struck Morales while walking on FM 1423.

Subsequently, a black GMC that was behind the Silverado ran over Morales as he lay on the ground. 

Unfortunately, Jacob Morales died at the scene.

Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Officers said Morales was wearing dark clothing and the roadway was not well-lit.

The authorities are investigating.
