3 Arrested in Spokane Injury Accident on Monroe Street

 
SPOKANE, WA (August 20, 2020) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Jack Young, Abby Wade and Gregory Parke after a crash on Monroe Street.
 
Spokane Police Sergeant Terry Preuninger revealed that officers responded to the scene around 8:50 p.m. They came to the North Monroe Street and West Carlisle Avenue intersection. Upon their arrival, there was an estimate of 100 to 120 people on the road and sidewalks.
 
The people stood around, some fought and some attempted to help a man down in the northbound lanes of North Monroe Street. Thus, they dispatched more officers, along with Spokane Fire and AMR EMS.
 
Preuninger added that most members who fought or stood in the street following the authorities’ request to stop.
 
After the initial investigation, the officers determined that numerous people were in the parking lot after “cruising” on Monroe Street. According to reports, a car and a pedestrian crash occurred. The incident involved 32-year-old driver Jack Young and the unnamed pedestrian.
 
Furthermore, Preuninger revealed that they also arrested 35-year-old Abby Wade and 29-year-old Gregory Parke due to an altercation after the crash. Due to the crash, several fights and disorderly behavior occurred.
 
The officers found out that Jack Young was intoxicated during the incident. Meanwhile, the pedestrian received treatment at the scene and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
On the other hand, Young received charges for vehicular assault. Authorities arrested him and then released from the Spokane County Jail about 1 a.m. Sunday.
 
Moreover, Gregory Parke received charges with fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Also, Abby Wade received charges with the pedestrian in a roadway and disorderly conduct. The police also booked Wade into the Spokane County Jail and were later released about midnight Sunday.
 
The incident remains under active investigation.
