Passenger Killed in DUI Collision Near Mile Marker 75
Elko, NV (November 22, 2022) – On November 17, passenger Jachai Calvin, 25, an Owyhee man, sustained fatal injuries in a State Route 225 vehicle crash.
The authorities responded to the crash scene near mile marker 75.
According to the investigators, a gray GMC pick-up was northbound on the freeway when the driver failed to negotiate a curved roadway. It crossed over the center line and drove off the left side of the road.
The vehicle traveled down an embankment and overturned.
The truck’s passenger Jachai Calvin was unrestrained in his seat. He was thrown from the truck before and succumbed to his injuries. Responding officers declared him dead at the scene.
