Ivonne Vivas Struck and Killed in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA (September 09, 2021) – On Wednesday, 48-year-old Ivonne Vivas of Bakersfield died in a pedestrian accident on Reina Road.
The fatal crash took place at about 7:08 a.m. in the 11600 block area.
Investigating officers said the 17-year-old female driver struck Vivas and two other pedestrians who were knocked down in the accident.
Unfortunately, Vivas died at the accident scene.
On the other hand, the two other pedestrians did not suffer injuries in the crash.
Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Officers said drugs and or alcohol did not play a part in the accident.
