Las Vegas Rollover Crash Hospitalized Ivon Rodriguez-Baron
Las Vegas, NV (September 20, 2020) – On Friday, the 40-year-old Ivon Rodriguez-Baron of Las Vegas was critically injured in a rollover crash on 4225 East Sahara Avenue.
The tragic accident happened at about 8:50 p.m. in an east Las Vegas parking lot near Lamb Boulevard.
The investigators said a 33-year-old man driving a 2010 GMC Sierra pickup truck tried to park adjacent to Lamb Boulevard on an incline. However, a “possible mechanical issue” made the truck to roll backward.
The man and Rodriguez-Baron, who were seated in the passenger seat, jumped out while the truck was rolling. Rodriguez-Baron fell to the ground, and was struck by the same truck.
The rescuers rushed her to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene. Authorities said he was not impaired at the time of the accident.
Further details were not yet available.
Aim high in steering, i.e. don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather what is down the road. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
