Car Crashes into Tree on Cottonwood Avenue in San Jacinto Killing the Driver

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (February 1, 2020) – A woman died in a car accident early Saturday morning in San Jacinto.
 
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Cottonwood Avenue near North Lyon Avenue.
 
According to a preliminary investigation, a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Cottonwood Avenue when it veered to the right. It then went off the roadway and struck a tree on the south side of the road.
 
As a result, the female driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Riverside County coroner’s office identified her as Itzayana Valenzuela, 26, of San Jacinto.
 
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
 
A GoFundMe page set up in Valenzuela’s name has raised more than $5,400 as of Monday morning.
