Isaiah Orona Arrested in DUI Crash on Interstate 215 [Murrieta, CA]

Murrieta, CA (May 2, 2023) On Monday morning, 26-year-old Isaiah Orona of Menifee was arrested after a DUI crash on Interstate 215.

CHP says that the 3-vehicle collision happened around 3:15 a.m. on northbound Interstate 215, near Linnel Lane.

Reports say that Orona was on a 2020 Dodge Charger and made an unsafe turning movement then crashed into a concrete center divider. Consequently, the Charger veered back into lanes, then collided with a 2004 Hyundai, driven by a 55-year-old Menifee man.

Afterward, the Dodge went into the opposite direction and crashed into a 2017 Kia Sportage with 4 occupants. All vehicles rested on the freeway.

Officials say that the collision caused major injuries to a 6-year-old boy in the Kia, along with the boys father, identified only as a 27-year-old Las Vegas man.

Meanwhile, Orona sustained serious injuries and along with other people involved, who fortunately suffered only minor injuries, were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.

CHP officers say that evidence confirmed Isaiah Orona was driving impaired at the time of the crash. Officials arrested Orona at the hospital for suspicion of DUI.
