Man Fatally Injured by Semi-Trailer Truck in Irvine near Jamboree Road
IRVINE, CA (April 4, 2018) – A big rig accident on the South 405 Freeway took the life of a pedestrian, early Wednesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol stated in their reports that the accident occurred around 12:30 AM. A man was spotted walking in the middle of the southbound I-405 lanes near Jamboree Road. Minutes later, officers received several calls that the man was lying on the road with a big rig driver pulled over nearby.
Emergency personnel and police officials arrived at the scene of the crash. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. It is still unknown how the accident happened and the events leading up to the fatal crash.
The identities of the victim and the driver have not been disclosed as the CHP continues to investigate the crash. No other information is available at the moment.
