At Least 5 People Hospitalized in Multi-Car Accident on Mount Houston Road

Houston, TX (January 12, 2023) On Monday afternoon, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 45 caused several people injuries.

Houston TranStar confirmed that the multi-car accident happened at 1:20 p.m. and 1:37 p.m. at SH 249 Mount Houston Road.

Reports say that the first crash involved at least 3 vehicle, while the second collision involved 9 vehicles. Officials say that both accidents happened at the smae spot.

Houston Fire Department says that the chain-reaction crashes involved an overturned SUV, a mini-van, an RV and an 18-wheeler truck.

Paramedics transported at least 5 people to the hospital. Officials say that the severity of the injuries are unknown at this time, although one person suffered from a broken nose.

Authorities are investigating the multi-vehicle crash and have not released additional informaiton at this time.
