Fuel Spilled in Injury Accident on Interstate 580 East of Santa Rita Road

Pleasanton, CA (August 28, 2021) On Friday, injuries were reported in a traffic collision on Interstate 580, just east of Santa Rita Road.

Authorities say that the incident happened around 10 a.m. leaving 4 lanes closed for traffic.

Authorities say at around 4 p.m. Interstate 580’s westbound lanes are now open.

However, 15 minutes later authorities say that the left and center lanes were still not passable.

The delay was due to crews cleaning the fuel spill.
