4-Year-Old Girl Injured in Traffic Collision at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport [Seattle, WA]

Seattle, WA (May 18, 2023) – On Wednesday, a four-year-old girl and two others were injured in a traffic collision at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

According to the authorities, a driver accidentally accelerated their vehicle in the Upper Departure area and struck three people.

Dan Schulz, a witness, said he heard a huge noise that sounded like an explosion. When he turned around, he saw the truck coming to a stop but the truck ran into the airport. He added that it was as if the driver stepped on the gas and drove into the crowd.

The four-year-old girl was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is in critical condition.

In the meantime, travelers were asked to use the Lower Arrivals Drive for drop off as the upper drive will be temporarily closed.

Officers are investigating the accident.
