2 Injured in Sparks SUV and Motorcycle Collision
SPARKS, NV (August 1, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in an SUV and motorcycle collision on 80 Freeway on July 31.
Some concerned motorists stopped and lifted an SUV to free a motorcyclist who slid underneath. An NHP trooper helped in pulling the trapped rider off the vehicle.
The collision occurred at around 5:56 p.m. A motorcycle with two people unsafely changed lanes on 80 Freeway near Prater Way. As a result, the motorcycle hit the back of a 2015 GMC pickup and both the driver and the passenger got ejected from the bike. After that, the driver slid underneath a 2001 Ford Escape passing in an adjacent lane.
Some people helped in lifting the car off the trapped rider and let the NHP trooper pull him out.
Responders transported the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
