4 Hurt in Hesperia Car Collision on 7th Avenue

HESPERIA, CA (August 22, 2019) – Four people hurt in a car collision on 7th Avenue on August 20.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters from the Victorville Fire Department responded to 7th Avenue and Bear Valley Road after 8:00 p.m.

Upon their arrival, they found an overturned white SUV in the southbound lanes of 7th Avenue, just north of Bear Valley Road, in front of Rite-aid. Meanwhile, a second vehicle, a Kia Soul, sustained major front end damage.

First responders treated Kia occupants, a woman and two children, at the scene.

Meanwhile, the SUV’s male driver managed to go out of his vehicle and his injuries are non-life threatening.

According to Helen Maldonado, she just walked out of Rite Aid when she heard the collision. She added that the car traveled west on Bear Valley while the truck headed north on 7th Avenue. The two vehicles crashed near the intersection. “It was such an awful sound it shook me. I’m so glad everyone is ok,” said Maldonado.

Authorities shut down the road during the investigation.
