Injuries Reported in Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Near Stella Link Road [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (March 12, 2025) – A fatal wrong-way crash near Stella Link Road on the South Loop left one person dead and four others injured Tuesday evening.

According to authorities, the tragic crash happened at around 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes.

Reports say that the wrong-way crash involved a black SUV traveling east that collided head-on with another vehicle. A third vehicle was also struck in the aftermath.

Emergency responders pronounced the SUV driver dead at the scene. A woman and two young children from the vehicle hit head-on were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, while another woman from the third vehicle was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. All four victims are in stable condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash, including the cause of the wrong-way driving.
