Pickup Crashes into Semi-Truck in Collision near Broome Road

TEHACHAPI, CA (December 10, 2018) – Injuries were sustained in a semi-truck crash on westbound Highway 58, Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 10:16 AM, just east of Broome Road. Based on their report, a pickup truck was speeding and reckless driving when it struck a semi-truck pulling a box trailer.

The paramedics were requested to attend to the involved motorists. They recorded injuries considered as non-life-threatening.

Debris was scattered, and a fuel spill resulted was observed in the area. A clearing operation was ordered by fire officials. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident to help identify the possible contributing factors. Additional information has yet to be released.
