Tire Blowout Causes Collision near Stockton Boulevard

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 6, 2019) – Injuries sustained in semi-truck crash on eastbound Highway 50, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:23 AM, just west of Stockton Boulevard. Based on an initial report, the truck’s tires were blow out before it jackknifed and struck the shoulder wall.
 
One man was seen lying in the ground. The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They confirmed that the victim suffered injuries in the incident. Fortunately, the victim’s condition was not life-threatening.
 
The No. 3 and 4 lanes were temporarily blocked due to the commotion. Towing services were requested for a clearing operation in the area.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine what might have caused the collision, and no additional information has been released to the public at this time.
