Four Vehicles Involved in Collision near Broadway

SANTA MARIA, CA (December 6, 2018) – Injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 101, Thursday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:15 AM, near the Broadway off-ramp. Based on their report, four vehicles were involved in the incident. A semi-truck reportedly ran over a white Toyota sedan and involved two other vehicles.

The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. Motorists who sustained injuries were treated at the scene. Fortunately, the conditions of the victims were not considered life-threatening.

The semi was upright but was positioned across the guard rails in between the northbound and southbound sides, thus blocking the No. 1 and 3 northbound lanes, and the No. 1 and 2 southbound lanes. Clearing and recovery operations were performed in the area.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation, and additional information will be disclosed to the public, once it becomes available.

Negligence can lead to disastrous results like a multi-car crash. It is important to drive cautiously and abide by all driving laws to ensure your safety and the safety of surrounding vehicles, motorists, and pedestrians.
