Injuries Sustained in DUI Car Crash on 805 Freeway [San Diego, CA]

Vehicle Overturned in DUI Collision near Highway 52

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 9, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a DUI car crash on northbound 805 Freeway, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 2:58, just south of Highway 52. Based on their report, two vehicles were involved in the incident. A black Honda minivan was seen speeding and swerving across all lanes before it overturned at least four times and landed at the side of the road.
 
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They recorded injuries sustained by the involved motorists. Fortunately, all conditions were said to be minor.
 
The No. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were closed while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
 
An initial report showed that the incident was related to driving under the influence. An investigation is ongoing to verify all initial information and determine liabilities. No additional information has been released to the public, as the case is currently under investigation by officials.
